This dish is famously known as Bak-Kut-Teh, which directly translates from Hokkien (a Chinese dialect) to “Meat Bone Tea”. In Malaysia, this dish is popularly served with “you char kueh” or “you tiao” (Chinese fried churros), yam rice, and soy sauce with chopped chilli padi and minced garlic as a condiment. Our Penang Little Sifu Rou Gu Cha comes in a tea bag individually packed with all the various aromatic herbs and spices such as cinnamon, star anise, fennel seeds, dong quai / female ginseng (当归) and more. This product is vegan-friendly.

Simply pop in the tea bag and get right into the cooking and eating! There is no need to take out the inedible spices from the soup anymore as they are all contained in that teabag.
